Keeon Johnson 6'3/200) will play college football in the ACC. Around 5:30 on Friday afternoon, Johnson commited to coach Mike London and the Virginia Cavaliers. He choose the Cavaliers over Notre Dame.
"I am committing to UVA," Johnson confirmed in a text message to Scout.
He is physically ready to play at the collegiate level right now. He has very good size and strength for a wide receiver. Johnson also possesses 4.3-second 40-yard dash speed. I expect him to see the field early in Charlottesville.
Virginia continues to gain momentum in The Tar Heel State. Less than three weeks ago, the Cavaliers picked up a commitment from South Iredell High (Statesville,N.C.) linebacker LaChaston Smith. They remain in contention for several more of the state's top prospects.
Johnson is a three-star prospect for Scout and the No. 62 wide receiver prospect in the country. He also had offers from Duke, East Carolina, Georgia Tech |
