Eric McKinley is the oldest of two siblings, born in a small town west of Richmond, Virginia. His parents, Mary Lorraine and Roger Mack Alsop raised him with love, discipline, respect and supported his passion for music.
Eric's love for music continued to grow throughout his school years which embarked on forming a group by the name of New Concept. The five members performed in small venues such as talent shows and festivals, which led to openings for many respected well known artist in the music industry. Just to name a few, New Concept has had the pleasure of opening for artist such as Chubb Rock, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Bubba Sparxx, The Late Great-Phyllis Hyman and Bobby Brown.
Eric admires a vast array of celebrities which influenced him to remain focused and self driven on his dreams. Some of those influences include Jodeci, Blackstreet, Boyz II Men, Tank, Anthony Hamilton and Tyrese.
Recently, Eric decided to take the opportunity to launch a solo career in R&B. The new single, "More Than A Woman" is scheduled for release soon. He is working on his first album which is scheduled to release in the fall of 2012; updates to follow.
