When you think of Virginia, Hip-Hop music probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind. Cat's E.ntertainment Y.ou E.nvy recording artist Starr Nyce has been doing everything in his power to change that. Born and bred in Lynchburg, Va, Starr Nyce has relocated to Atlanta with hopes of putting the spotlight on his beloved state. After flooding the streets and the net with 8 CD releases (5 Mixtapes and 3 Albums), performing in front of receptive crowds throughout the East Coast and recording countless songs, Starr Nyce aka "Mr. 434" continues his relentless pursuit to kick The Music Industry's door in. "It's going to take alot of work to get Va where it needs to be as far as the world respecting our craft, but recently people from Virginia have been coming together and I can see that we won't be under the radar for long." he says when asked about the future of Va's Hip-Hop Movement. Starr Nyce is currently gearing up to release two Mixtapes before the end of Summer 2010 ("Allow Me 2 Reintroduce Myself 3.0" & "Que Sera Sera").
Cat's E.Y.E. Inc recording Starr Nyce unveils his latest offering, the "Que Sera Sera" [Mixtape]. The Spanish phrase "Que Sera Sera" translates to "What will be, will be." and the question is, how true is this statement? "I do believe that some people are chosen to do great things... like their life has already been written and all of their trials are preparing them for something big. But on the other hand, without sacrifice, dedication, determination and a vision your dreams will always be just that, dreams.", Starr Nyce states. When it comes to the Music Industry, everything starts with the music. How it makes people feel, what songs you perform, what videos you shoot, it all starts with the music. So with that being said, Starr Nyce made a conscience effort to create a solid body of work that would bring out the best be it on the stage, behind the lens or boomin' through the speakers of your whip during your morning commute. So which is it? Life is what you make it, Or What will be, will? You be the judge.
